Concrete Field Tester - Northern Suburbs

About the Role

An established and growing name in construction materials testing, is seeking one dedicated Concrete Field Technicians to join their dynamic team in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. In this role, you will conduct precise sampling and testing of concrete across a variety of sites, ensuring full compliance with Australian Standards and NATA requirements.

You will be responsible for end-to-end concrete field-testing processes, from onsite sampling to accurate documentation and record keeping. The position combines field autonomy with occasional lab-based duties, offering variety and technical engagement.

A fully maintained company vehicle, state-of-the-art testing equipment, and comprehensive training will be provided to set you up for success.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sampling and testing of concrete in accordance with Australian Standards and NATA guidelines.

• Candidates must possess moderate physical fitness and be capable of moderate lifting as required for field testing operations.

• Maintain meticulous records and complete associated paperwork to meet compliance and quality assurance standards.

• Operate and maintain field testing equipment with accuracy and care.

• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with site personnel and clients.

• Occasionally attend the laboratory for coordination, reporting, and additional tasks.

• Uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism at all times.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in concrete testing or a closely related field within the construction industry.

• A minimum of 1+ year of concrete testing experience is required for this position.

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, reliable results.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in the field, while also collaborating effectively within a team.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving ability and sound practical judgement.

• Valid Australian driver's licence.

• Valid Construction Induction Card (White Card).

• A reliable, proactive work ethic with a focus on long-term career contribution.

• Australian work rights are required for this position.
