We’re looking for an Account Manager to join our Melbourne team and make a meaningful impact. In this role, you’ll take ownership of a well-established portfolio of long-standing clients, built on strong relationships and trust.
About the Role
This is an opportunity for an experienced broker to step into a key role within our Melbourne CBD branch, managing a diverse portfolio across SME and mid-market clients, with a mix of domestic and commercial business.
Reporting to the Branch Manager - Commercial you will:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of valued clients across a domestic/commercial mix
- Deliver high quality end-to-end broking services, including renewals, endorsements, and placement
- Oversee claims management alongside a strong dedicated claims team with local presence, to ensure efficient and positive client outcomes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within your portfolio
- Prepare submissions, negotiate with underwriters, and present tailored insurance solutions
- Work closely with a dedicated Assistant Account Executive, who will provide day-to-day administrative and processing support across the portfolio
This role offers the scope to step up (or further cement) your position as a trusted risk advisor, with the support and autonomy to make the portfolio your own. You'll be someone who's just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves on the day-to-day detail as you are building relationships and growing the book.
About YouYou’re an experienced insurance professional who enjoys managing relationships and delivering tailored solutions.
You will bring:
- Proven experience managing a portfolio across multiple products within general insurance broking
- Experience across the full suite of general insurance products, ideally having a good mix in Liability, Property, Management Liability, Cyber, Fleet/Motor & PI
- Exposure to SME and/or mid-market clients across a range of industries
- Comfort working across a domestic and commercial client mix
- Strong technical knowledge across commercial insurance products
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- A proactive approach to managing and growing a portfolio, including a high volume of day-to-day transacting
- Tier 1 Broking qualification (essential)
