Role Description: We are looking for a seasoned Dynatrace professional who can independently architect, implement and optimize observability solutions across complex, hybrid, multi-cloud environments. The ideal candidate combines deep platform expertise with strong client-facing consulting skills to drive adoption, demonstrate value and manage the full observability lifecycle - from licensing to advanced automation.

Salary: AUD 150,742– 171,215 Annual Gross

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Strong understanding of Dynatrace architecture - OneAgent, ActiveGate (Environment/Environment-Multi, Cluster), Smartscape topology mapping, SaaS vs. Managed deployment models.
• Hands-on expertise in installation, configuration and instrumentation of Dynatrace OneAgent across diverse technology stacks (Java, .NET, Node.js, Python, PHP, containers, mainframe and legacy systems).
• Strong working knowledge of **Grail** - Dynatrace's unified data lakehouse - including DQL (Dynatrace Query Language), data ingestion pipelines and querying logs, metrics, traces and events from a single data model.
• Experience integrating diverse log and event sources into the Dynatrace platform (Log Monitoring v2, OpenPipeline, custom log ingestion via API/OneAgent/ActiveGate).
   
• Hands-on experience with:
• Alert suppression, maintenance windows and event/alerting profile configuration (via UI, API and scripting/Monaco/Terraform)
• Anomaly detection and baselining using Davis AI, including custom anomaly detectors, davis event correlation and root-cause analysis tuning
• Building and managing **Dynatrace Workflows** (AutomationEngine) for automated remediation, notification routing and event-driven orchestration
• Integration between Dynatrace and event/notification platforms - ServiceNow, PagerDuty, Slack, MS Teams, etc.
• Integration between Dynatrace and ITSM platforms - **ServiceNow** (incident, problem and change management workflows, CMDB sync)
• Configuration-as-code using **Monaco** or **Terraform Dynatrace provider** for repeatable, version-controlled deployments
• Strong experience in **Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM)** - Synthetic Monitoring, Real User Monitoring (RUM), Session Replay - including **DEM license/unit management and consumption optimization**.
• Solid understanding of Dynatrace consumption-based licensing (DDU model) - capacity planning, cost governance and license/unit allocation across host units, DEM units and Grail data ingest/retention.
• Ability to gather requirements directly from customers/stakeholders, translate business needs into technical designs and independently drive design, build and testing phases.
• Proven experience conducting POCs/PoVs to showcase Dynatrace capabilities to technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to build custom dashboards, workspaces and notebooks tailored to customer/business requirements.
• Experience addressing customer queries and concerns related to SaaS-based solution security, data privacy and compliance requirements.
• Experience with Dynatrace extensions framework - building/customizing OneAgent and ActiveGate extensions for non-standard technologies.

• Dynatrace Certification (Associate or Professional)
• Scripting experience (Python, Shell, Go) for automation and custom integrations
• Experience with monitoring/administration of Docker, Kubernetes and DevOps tooling (Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines)
• Exposure to other observability/APM tools (Datadog, AppDynamics, New Relic) for migration or comparative evaluation projects

• • Lead end-to-end design, implementation and rollout of Dynatrace across customer environments, including OneAgent deployment, ActiveGate architecture and Grail-based data strategy.
  • Own the technical relationship with customer stakeholders - gathering requirements, proposing architecture and driving solution delivery.
  • Configure and optimize Davis AI-based anomaly detection, alerting profiles and event correlation rules to reduce noise and improve MTTR.
  • Design and build Dynatrace Workflows for automated incident response, remediation actions and cross-tool orchestration.
  • Manage integrations between Dynatrace and third-party ITSM/event management tools (ServiceNow, PagerDuty, Slack).
  • Monitor and manage DEM license consumption, host unit allocation and overall platform cost governance; provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Build and maintain custom dashboards, DQL-based queries and reports for technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Conduct POCs/PoVs and technical demonstrations to showcase platform capabilities and drive adoption.
  • Support security and compliance reviews related to SaaS-based observability solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to best-practice documentation and internal enablement.
  • Stay current with Dynatrace platform updates (new Grail features, Workflow enhancements, extension framework changes) and proactively recommend adoption where relevant.
