About the role

Bay Boats is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Front Counter staff on a casual basis. This is a perfect opportunity for those looking for flexible work arrangements. Based in Scarborough QLD 4020, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences. This casual position offers flexibility whilst allowing you to be part of a well known local business on the peninsular.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting customers with a warm welcome and providing exceptional front-of-house service

• Processing transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems

• Taking orders for food and beverages and communicating them clearly to the kitchen

• Managing the front counter area, maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout your shift

• Answering customer enquiries and providing information about our offerings and facilities

• Handling payments and managing cash handling responsibilities with accuracy

• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer satisfaction

• Restocking supplies and assisting with inventory management as required

• Following health and safety protocols and food handling procedures at all times

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a similar front-facing role is highly desirable

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining accuracy

• Strong numeracy skills and experience with point-of-sale systems or willingness to learn quickly

• Flexible and reliable, with the ability to adapt to varying shift patterns

• A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and willingness to support colleagues

• Barista/Coffee making experience highly advantageous

• Someone that is eager to learn and grow with potential for leadership or management roles
