Trident Plastic Engineering is a specialist manufacturer known for precision, reliability and high‑quality custom plastic components. We’re expanding our workshop capability and are looking for a versatile Machining Allrounder who enjoys variety, problem‑solving and hands‑on craftsmanship.
About the Role
This is a practical, workshop‑based position suited to someone who can confidently move between manual machining, CNC routing and basic CAD drawing. You’ll be working across custom one‑off jobs, small production runs and specialised plastic machining projects.
Key Responsibilities
Operate manual lathes and mills to produce accurate components
Set up and run CNC routers for plastic machining
Interpret and create CAD drawings for job setup and production
Work with engineering plastics including HDPE, acrylic, polycarbonate, nylon, acetal and more
Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and quality standards
About You
Strong experience with manual machining (lathes & mills)
Competent with CNC router operation and basic programming
Comfortable producing or modifying CAD drawings (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Able to work independently and take ownership of jobs
Positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes
