Lead Digital. Shape the City’s future.
The City of Armadale is growing and evolving and so is the way we use technology to support our people, services and community.
We are looking for an experienced digital leader to join our Digital Services Directorate and help shape the next stage of our digital maturity.
Reporting directly to the Director Digital Services (CIO), you will lead a broad Digital Solutions and Services function and play an important role in turning the City’s digital priorities into practical, sustainable outcomes.

This is not a traditional IT management role.
It is an opportunity to lead across both digital transformation and operational service delivery strengthening the way our technology environment performs today while influencing how it develops for the future.

Working closely with the CIO, senior leaders and teams across the City, you will have the opportunity to:

•    strengthen digital resilience, service delivery and customer experience
•    build strong partnerships between Digital Services and the broader organisation
•    create practical improvements that make it easier for our people to do their work.
We are looking for someone who enjoys both the big picture and the operational reality someone who can provide direction, make sound decisions and bring people together to deliver outcomes.

About you
You are likely already leading within a complex digital or technology environment and looking for an opportunity where you can have broader influence.
You bring strong digital and technical leadership capability, sound judgement and the ability to lead teams through change while maintaining reliable day-to-day services.
Just as importantly, you understand that successful digital services are not simply about technology.
You are collaborative, pragmatic and comfortable partnering with leaders and technical specialists to understand business needs, work through competing priorities and deliver solutions that genuinely enable others.
Experience in local government is not essential. We welcome leaders from other complex service environments who can bring different thinking and experience to the City.
