Prep Kitchen Supervisor— Mile End Bagels

Mile End Bagels is seeking reliable, hands-on supervisors to join our central kitchen in Fitzroy.

We are an established, fast-paced bagel business producing wood-fired bagels and specialty coffee across four Melbourne locations. Our central prep kitchen supports all stores and operates 7 days a week, 6:45am–4:00pm.

We have roles available for those who enjoys structure, consistency, and joining a tight, well-organised kitchen.

Supervisor Responsibilities

• Lead daily prep shifts and support a small kitchen team

• Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and food safety (wrap, date + FIFO to a safety standard)

• Ensure prep runs to schedule (slicing meats, pickle veggies, WHIP cream cheese, make chicken salad, etc)

• Supervise, and support kitchen staff on shift

• Delegate tasks and manage workflow efficiently

• Order ingredients, receive deliveries, and manage stock levels

• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and equipment standards

• Communicate clearly with the operations team

• Enforce safe food handling procedures

• Previous kitchen experience & passionate about food safety
