Welcome to Veriu Adelaide

Veriu Adelaide marks an exciting new chapter for us as our first hotel in South Australia, and our largest hotel to date at 191 keys. Opening early 2027 (CY), this flagship property will transform a former office building at 80 King William Street, right in the heart of the CBD, into a vibrant, design-led hotel that reflects the bold, connected, and community-focused spirit of Veriu.

With thoughtfully designed apartment-style accommodation and warm, genuine hospitality, Veriu Adelaide is set to become a go-to destination for corporate travellers, long-stay guests, and curious explorers alike. As our presence grows in the South Australian market over the next couple of years, this hotel will play a key role in building local partnerships, showcasing our brand, and delivering the veri-best guest experience that sets us apart.

Responsibilities

In this role you'll identify, pursue, and secure opportunities for Corporate Accounts (B2B) during the critical pre-opening and ramp up phases. You'll be the expert in sales at the hotel and partner closely with the General Manager to ensure that we're on a pathway to achieve our strategic goals. This is particularly important in this pre-opening role as we step into a new market for us that we know is under supplied and full of demand. 

Your responsibilities will require you to:

• Drive direct corporate sales (B2B) to increase production and generate new corporate relationships
• Navigate and secure opportunities associated with major projects and institutions
• Cold-call, knock on doors, generate new leads & develop a strong corporate pipeline
• Increase brand awareness by improving current relationships & build strong relationships with new clients
• Conduct site inspections, client visits, attend industry events & work with a team-orientated approach
• Develop and implement sales plans and develop a targeted approach to grow our business to exceed targets
• Work with the operations team to ensure they understand their role in identifying sales opportunities

About You

The successful person must have:

• Approved Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or a Visa with approved working rights)
• Demonstrated experience in B2B sales in hotels/TMCs or similar 
• Demonstrated ability to account manage, optimise production and resolve objections or complaints
• High standards of attention to detail and communication skills (written & verbal)
• Ability to make strategically aligned business decisions
• A genuine and collaborative team-player approach
• Innate passion and drive to achieve
