Employment Type: Temporary / Contract – 6 Months/ Can be extended

Days: 3 to 5 days per week – from 9am to 4pm (6 working hours with 1 hour Break)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team on a part-time, temporary basis (3 to 5 days per week). This role will focus primarily on collections and customer follow-ups to support cash flow and maintain strong customer relationships.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident communicating with customers and coordinating internally to resolve billing and payment queries efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable activities, with a focus on overdue invoices

• Proactively contact customers via phone and email regarding outstanding balances

• Follow up with customers to confirm payment dates and payment commitments

• Maintain accurate records of all customer communications and follow-up actions

• Liaise closely with Customer Service and Project/Service teams to resolve invoice disputes or queries

• Escalate unresolved or complex issues in a timely manner

• Reconcile accounts and ensure customer statements are accurate and up to date

About You

• Must hold Australian permanent residency or citizenship

Qualifications

Freshly Accounting Graduate or Similar. preferably someone recently completed or near to completing Degree.

• Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable or Credit Control role is a plus

• Minimum of 6 months experience in Accounts Receivable or Credit Control is preferable but not necessary.

• Confident speaking with customers by phone regarding overdue payments

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Well organized with excellent attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple follow-ups and prioritize workload

• Comfortable using accounting system (AX Dynamix) and Microsoft Excel

• Experience with AX Dynamics accounting system preferred but training will be provided

• Able to work independently and as part of a team
