Security/Patrol Officer (all shifts)

• Ensure a safe, secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Conduct patrols, respond to incidents, and be a visible presence in the hospital.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining a high standard of safety and security.

Compass Group Australia will deliver essential support services at the new Footscray Hospital, one of Victoria’s largest health infrastructure projects. We will provide vital services, including patient services, environmental services, food, security, help desk, and more. As a public hospital with clinical services provided by Western Health, this state-of-the-art facility will play a key role in supporting the community—be part of something bigger and help shape the future of healthcare in Victoria.

THE POSITION

• Monitor hospital premises to ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols across hospital grounds, including parking areas and entrances.
• Report any suspicious activity, breaches, or safety hazards to the appropriate authorities.
• Maintain detailed records of incidents, patrols, and safety reports.

THE PERSON

• Previous work in security, law enforcement, or a similar field, demonstrating a solid understanding of safety protocols.
• Experience in environments with strict safety regulations and the ability to follow and enforce these protocols.
• Certificate II Security Operations mandatory (CPP20218)
• Experience in a healthcare environment desirable. 
• Must have or is able to obtain a National Police Clearance.
