Tax Advisor – Individual and SMSF

The Opportunity
MGI Joyce|Dickson is seeking an experienced Senior Advisor/Manager to join our SMSF and Individual Tax Division.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong public practice experience who enjoys working closely with clients and being part of our Super & Individuals team, delivering high-quality tax and advisory services. You will manage a diverse portfolio and play a key role in supporting the continued growth and success of the division.

We are open to candidates with experience in personal tax, SMSFs, or Business Services who are looking to expand their knowledge and develop their career within an individual and SMSF advisory role.  

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of individual and SMSF clients

• Reviewing individual tax returns and SMSF financial statements and returns

• Providing proactive tax and superannuation advice

• Assisting clients with a range of compliance and advisory matters

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

• Liaising with the ATO and external stakeholders

• Supporting and mentoring junior team members

• Contributing to workflow management and team success across the division

About You

• 3+ years’ experience in public practice

• Experience in Individual Tax and/or Business Services

• SMSF experience desirable, but not essential

• Strong technical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and client relationship skills

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team

• Motivated with a genuine interest in professional growth and development
