Casual STEM Program Presenter

JC Ingenium STEAM Incursions is expanding its educational programs in Melbourne, and we are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and engaging STEM Program Presenter to join our team.

We deliver hands-on Engineering, Coding and Robotics programs in schools and Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services, creating exciting learning experiences where children are encouraged to build, experiment, problem-solve and collaborate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an educator, STEM facilitator or experienced children's program presenter who enjoys making learning fun.

About the Role

As a STEM Program Presenter, you will lead structured Engineering and Robotics sessions for groups of children at schools and OSHC services across Melbourne.

You do not need to develop lesson plans or curriculum. Our programs, activities, equipment and resources are provided, together with training and ongoing support from our Sydney team.

Your role is to bring the program to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, hands-on STEM sessions for children.
• Facilitate Engineering, Coding and Robotics activities.
• Clearly explain challenges and STEM concepts in an age-appropriate way.
• Encourage creativity, teamwork and problem-solving.
• Confidently manage groups of children during activities.
• Work alongside a STEM Program Assistant.
• Set up and pack down program equipment.
• Care for and organise educational resources.
• Represent JC Ingenium professionally when working with schools and OSHC services.
• Provide brief feedback following program delivery.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Confident and engaging when presenting to groups of children.

• Energetic, friendly and professional.
• Reliable and well organised.
• A strong communicator.
• Comfortable facilitating hands-on activities.
• Passionate about education, STEM and learning through play.
• Able to work independently while also collaborating with a team.
• Experience in education, OSHC, teaching, childcare, STEM facilitation, science communication, engineering, robotics or children's programs will be highly regarded.
• Formal teaching qualifications are not essential.

Requirements

• Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Availability during weekday program hours.
• Ability to travel to different schools and OSHC services across Melbourne.
• Reliable transport is highly desirable.
• Previous experience working with children is strongly preferred.
