Project Engineer - Traffic Signals

Our civil capabilities provide a broad range of services in the facilities and civil maintenance arena, including roadworks and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).

We are a growing team of dedicated professionals who pride themselves on providing exceptional work and are now seeking a skilful and capable Project Engineer with previous experience working on traffic signals and civil maintenance / roadworks projects to join our team.

The Project Engineer is expected to provide sound technical support in the delivery of project outcomes reporting directly to the Bid and Delivery Manager, controlling the administrative functions of the job, while providing a support link to the Site Supervisors.

Co-ordinating, monitoring and management of subcontractors to meet program, implement the most efficient and effective construction methodology while continue to apply best practice.

Application of Work Health & Safety, Environmental Management and Quality Systems is expected. Unit Cost Analysis, preparation of cost claims and contract notices are essential aspects of this job function.

The successful candidate:

• Will possess a Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years' experience on signals

• Will lead small teams under the guidance of the Bid and Delivery Manager.

• Knowledge of TfNSW Traffic Signals specifications (and all relevant drawings).

• Have relevant experience working in civil construction industry.

• Have the ability to read / interpret plans.

• Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).

• Will be available to work some nightshifts and weekends.
