Vertex Carpentry Projects is looking for an experienced Senior Carpenter to join our growing team.

We are a family-owned carpentry business based in Sydney, working mostly on new residential and construction projects. Our work includes cladding, detailed carpentry, staircases and general project carpentry across quality builds.

We are a small team with a strong work ethic, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, operates safely, and wants the opportunity to progress quickly as the business continues to grow.

This role would suit a carpenter who is ready for more responsibility, wants to be recognised for quality work, and is looking for a long-term opportunity rather than just another job.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Carpenter with 3-5+ years of experience who can step into the team and contribute immediately.

The role will involve:

• External and internal cladding installation

• Carpentry on mostly new projects across Sydney

• Staircase carpentry and installation

• General framing, fixing and finishing work

• Reading plans and working to project specifications

• Working safely and efficiently with the team

• Helping maintain a high standard of workmanship on site

• Supporting apprentices and junior team members where required

• Keeping the site clean, organised and professional

• Communicating clearly with the team, builders and site contacts

The role reports to Brandon Nasr, Site Foreman.

RAPID PROGRESSION OPPORTUNITY

For the right candidate, there is a genuine opportunity to progress into a Foreman/Site Supervisor role within 3-6 months.

We are especially interested in someone who has the ability and attitude to grow into:

• Running small teams on site

• Coordinating materials and workflow

• Communicating with builders, supervisors and clients

• Checking quality of work

• Helping manage apprentices and junior carpenters

• Taking ownership of daily site outcomes

• Representing Vertex Carpentry Projects professionally on site

ABOUT YOU

You must be reliable, experienced and take pride in doing the job properly.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has 3-5+ years of carpentry experience

• Has strong experience with cladding

• Has experience with staircases

• Can work safely and professionally on site

• Has good attention to detail

• Can work as part of a small team

• Communicates clearly

• Turns up on time and gets the job done

• Takes pride in clean, quality workmanship

• Wants to grow with a family-owned business

• Has leadership potential and wants to progress

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate must have:

• Valid driver’s licence

• Own reliable transport

• White Card

• Own tools

• Ability to travel to projects across Sydney

• Full working rights in Australia
