About the role

VDS Constructions PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and skilled Carpenter to join our team.

 As a Carpenter, you will play a vital role in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial projects, using your expertise to deliver high-quality work that meets industry standards. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing company.

What you'll be doing

• Accurately measuring, cutting, and assembling wooden structures, such as walls, floors, roofs, and stairs

• Installing and repairing various types of woodwork, including cabinets, doors, and windows

• Interpreting and following architectural plans and blueprints to ensure projects are completed to specification

• Collaborating with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless project integration

• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations

• Providing quality workmanship and exceptional customer service to our clients

What we're looking for

• Completion of a recognised carpentry apprenticeship or equivalent qualification

• 3-5 years of proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably in the residential and commercial construction sectors

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and blueprints

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to overcome challenges on the job

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

• Excellent time management and organisational skills to ensure projects are completed on schedule

• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
