About the office/schoolPeople and Culture is a team of strategic HR professionals providing client focused, proactive and effective solutions and services for all employees at the University.
About the role
We are seeking a proactive individual to join our team and be responsible for providing professional, timely and accurate administrative and operational support services.
Working closely with other roles in P&C, the role’s primary focus is to support general P&C processes along with providing administration and quality P&C service to employees and other stakeholders.
This position works in the People Services Team and reports to the Team Leader, People Services.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide trusted People and Culture support across the employee lifecycle, helping deliver a positive and seamless employee experience.
Build collaborative relationships across the University, partnering with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver responsive, people-focused solutions.
Champion accuracy, compliance and service excellence by maintaining quality employee records and using Oracle PeopleSoft HCM.
Act as a valued connection between People and Culture and Payroll, supporting timely, accurate and positive outcomes for employees.
Completion of a degree in Human Resources or related tertiary qualification with an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Strong HR administration, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy under pressure.
Practical problem-solving skills, with sound judgement to resolve queries within policy and process and escalate complex matters when needed.
Strong computer skills with knowledge on HR management systems, experience using PeopleSoft would be highly regarded.
High attention to detail, discretion and a strong commitment to confidentiality.
