Catering & Café All-Rounder

About the role

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being part of a busy team and is happy to assist wherever needed. You'll provide valuable support across catering operations, including completing deliveries, assisting at functions and providing café coverage. Depending on operational requirements, your duties may include completing catering deliveries to various locations, loading, transporting and unloading catering orders safely, assisting with the set-up, service and pack-down of functions and events, providing café coverage and customer service as required, assisting with basic food preparation and general catering duties, maintaining clean and organised work areas, working closely with kitchen, café and catering teams, and providing additional support during busy periods and staff leave. As some deliveries may be approximately 30–50 minutes from the kitchen, you must be comfortable driving and completing deliveries independently.

Key responsibilities

• Complete catering deliveries to various locations

• Load, transport and unload catering orders safely

• Assist with the set-up, service and pack-down of functions and events

• Provide café coverage and customer service as required

• Assist with basic food preparation and general catering duties

• Maintain clean and organised work areas

• Work closely with kitchen, café and catering teams

• Provide additional support during busy periods and staff leave

About you

• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently

• Friendly and confident providing great customer service

• Flexible and willing to assist across deliveries, functions and café operations

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Well organised with good time-management skills

• Physically capable of handling catering equipment and delivery items

• A team player with a positive, can-do attitude

• A current Australian driver's licence

• Confidence travelling to different delivery locations

• A current Food Handler/Food Safety certificate, or willingness to obtain one
