Account Executive

About the Role

Clarity Partners is looking for an experienced Account Executive / Manager to join a privately owned insurance brokerage with an excellent employee culture, a warm and welcoming environment with a great benefits package.

You will take ownership of an established portfolio of a low-volume, medium-sized portfolio, built through long-standing relationships across labour hire, earthmoving and property. The portfolio is well supported, with the senior broker above you and plenty of admin support beneath. This allows you to focus on delivering exceptional client service!

This role is open to a solid, internal broker or someone who wants to take full ownership, inclusive of the client facing responsibilities - The option is yours!

Key Responsibilities

• Manage an approximately 75-client portfolio with around $500K in annual revenue.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with long-standing SME and commercial clients, acting as the main point of contact for client queries.
• Handle the full renewal and account management lifecycle, managing approximately 20–25 renewals per month during peak periods.
• Review insurance requirements, contracts and risk exposures.
• Review claims history and pre-renewal information to ensure accurate and effective renewal preparation.
• Prepare renewal documentation, proposal forms and insurance recommendations.
• Negotiate with insurers and underwriters to secure appropriate coverage and terms.
• Manage complex policies across Professional Indemnity (PI), ISR and Management Liability, along with other commercial covers.
• Provide ongoing advice and support to clients throughout the policy lifecycle.
• Assist clients with claims and other insurance-related requirements as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all account and compliance requirements are met.
• Work closely with internal processing support and an offshore assistant to ensure efficient administration.

About You

• Experienced Account Executive or Account Manager within general insurance broking.
• Strong technical knowledge across all lines of general insurance and experience managing mid-market size accounts ($20K income +)
• Comfortable managing a commercial insurance portfolio, balancing multiple priorities with a high level of autonomy.
• Confident, personable and a genuine care for service when dealing directly with clients, an ability to solidify the relationship is more valuable than chasing new business.
• Commercially aware with sound negotiation skills and good insurer relationships.
