About the RoleYou will be responsible for maintaining plant equipment, supporting production operations, and driving maximum machine uptime through preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
You will work within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and continuous improvement are at the forefront of everything we do.
Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out preventative and corrective maintenance activities across plant equipment.
Ensure scheduled maintenance is completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
Provide ongoing support to production by responding to breakdowns and equipment issues.
Conduct inspections of plant and equipment and report defects or potential risks.
Install, maintain, and commission machinery and equipment.
Complete safety inspections and equipment checklists.
Perform welding and fabrication activities as required.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and plant performance.
Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions and behaviours.
Adhere to all food safety, quality, environmental, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the maintenance workshop and production areas.
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner, Welder, Fabricator, or equivalent.
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing, food processing, or FMCG environment.
Experience maintaining:
Conveyors and material handling systems
Gearboxes and rotating equipment
Food processing machinery
Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Welding and fabrication equipment
Strong troubleshooting, fault-finding, and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physically capable of working with large-scale industrial equipment.
