Bistro Team Leader – Full-Time

Box Hill RSL is one of the south-east’s leading venues, known for delivering a consistent, high-quality bistro experience at scale. Our bistro turns over 3,000–3,500+ covers a week, supported by a strong team, clear processes, and a culture that backs its people. It’s a fast-paced environment but one that runs with structure, support and pride in what we do.

We’re looking for a hands-on Bistro Team Leader who can step into that environment, lead from the front, and bring their own ideas to help us keep improving.

The Role

You’ll be leading hands on day-to-day service in the bistro keeping things moving, supporting the team, and making sure standards are consistent.

This role is about executing well, supporting people, and contributing to how we keep getting better.

About the Role

As Bistro Team Leader, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, lead and support staff, and ensure a seamless, high-quality dining experience for members and guests. You will coordinate service flow, maintain compliance with food safety standards, assist with rostering and reporting, and foster a positive, professional team culture.

About You

• You’re someone who enjoys being on the floor, working with people, and taking ownership of your shifts.

• Experience in a supervisory role within a busy bistro or restaurant

• Confident communicator who can lead and support a team

• Values consistency, standards and a positive team environment

• Comfortable in a fast-paced setting without losing control of service

• RSA required

• Food Safety Supervisor, First Aid or barista experience is a bonus.
