Basic Qualifications/Skills - Sheet Metal:

• Relevant Trade qualification and work experience

• Previous experience in Sheet metal fabrication.

• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to identify fabrication issues and contribute practical solutions to improve quality and efficiency.

• Must have an eye for detail

Basic Qualifications/Skills - Welding:

• Perform high-quality TIG welding 1-2mm thick on steel components in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

• Fabricate, assemble and modify structural thin wall steel components, frames, brackets and fabricated assemblies.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions and fabrication specifications.

• Measure, cut, fit and prepare materials using hand and power tools.

• Finish and inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.

General

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment while adhering to all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) procedures.

• Work collaboratively with production, engineering and quality teams to meet manufacturing schedules and project deadlines.

• Safely operate workshop equipment and maintain tools in good working order.

• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices.

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
