Diesel Fitter

KG Mechanical Services Pty Ltd is a leading Cairns based, locally owned marine company. We currently have multiple positions available and are seeking 2X trade qualified Diesel Fitters, 1X Workshop Storeman to join us for a full time, immediate start.

Diesel Fitter duties:

You will service and maintain:

• Commercial vessels.

• Private vessels.

• Super yachts.

• Industrial engines.

• Diesel genset's.

Workshop Storeman duties:

• Receiving and dispatching parts.

• Pick up and delivery of local parts.

• Stock control.

• Receipting of all parts and stock into computer system.

Diesel Fitters requirements:

• To possess strong diagnostic skills, have great communication and demonstrate good housekeeping.

• Ability to work onsite, autonomously and after hours as required.

• Away from home and remote work will be required on occasion.

• Previous experience in the marine industry will be an advantage but not required.

• Experience with Yanmar engines and marine transmissions an advantage.

• Must be able to perform overtime and weekend work in peak periods.

• White card required.

• Must have a minimum of a current C class licence.

• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing.

Workshop Storeman requirements:

• High risk licence ( Forklift ) is a must.

• C class licence is a must.

• White card required.

• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing.

Diesel Fitters will receive:
