We are seeking an organised, reliable and detail-focused Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team and play an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of our dealership group.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional, or an enthusiastic accounts candidate looking to develop their skills within a supportive environment.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments across the business, your responsibilities will include the following:

• Processing and coding supplier invoices

• Matching invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation

• Ensuring invoices are accurately entered and allocated to the correct departments and accounts

• Preparing supplier payments and assisting with payment runs

• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies

• Responding to supplier enquiries

• Maintaining accurate supplier records

• Assisting with month-end accounts payable procedures

• Following up outstanding invoices and approvals

• Assisting the broader Finance Team with accounts receivable and other accounting duties as required

• Maintaining organised and accurate financial records

• Providing general administrative support to the Finance Team

Skills and experience

Experienced in Accounts Payable or general accounting

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

• Accurate and methodical in their approach

• Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

• Confident communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders

• Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems

• Reliable, professional and committed to maintaining confidentiality

Experience using Pentana ERA or similar dealership software would be advantageous.
