Forklift Driver - Counterbalance | Morning Shift

Our Client

Our client supplies flour, bread, and cake mixes to food manufacturers. They also manufacture a wide range of bakery products, including artisan bread, hot cross buns, cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, pastries, croissants, muffins, doughnuts, scrolls, scones, bagels, éclairs, caramels, and jams. They are currently seeking experienced and reliable Forklift Drivers to join their warehouse team.

Shift

• Monday to Friday

• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Day Shift)

Pay Rate

• $38.69 per hour + Superannuation

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift

• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently

• Move raw materials, ingredients, and finished products throughout the warehouse

• and production areas

• Perform RF scanning, receiving, dispatching, stock checks, inspections, and required

• paperwork

• Maintain housekeeping and warehouse cleanliness standards

• Work across different temperature-controlled environments, including ambient and freezer areas

• Regularly move goods into freezer rooms throughout the shift

• Load approximately 3–4 freezer trucks per shift, with freezer exposure limited to a maximum of 1 hour per truck load

• Work comfortably in temperatures as low as -22°C (freezer jackets provided; candidates are encouraged to bring their own jackets. Safety boots are not provided)

• Work independently and efficiently once trained

• Demonstrate a proactive, can-do attitude and perform well in a fast-paced environment

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail

• Utilise sound computer, numeracy, and literacy skills in daily operation

Experience & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience operating counterbalance forklifts

• Experience in warehouse operations, including receipting, dispatch, RF scanning, stock control, and inventory movements

• Experience within food manufacturing environments is highly regarded but not essential

• Valid forklift licence

• Own reliable transport

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after training

• Strong work ethic with a positive and proactive attitude

• Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to changing operational demands

• Flexible availability to work across day, afternoon, and night shifts, including on-call work when required

• Willingness to work overtime, cover absences, and work weekends when required.
