Heavy Vehicle and Forklift Trainer

About the role

This is a hands-on teaching role with a flexible arrangement with the expectation to offer full time hours depending on qualifications. KSB Heavy Vehicle Training is seeking a heavy vehicle and/or forklift instructor to help train and improve skills in the transport industry.

Key responsibilities

• Develop training and lesson programs with new students to teach the required skills to reach their goals taking into consideration their current experience and skills

• Complete one-on-one lessons and courses with students following their training and lesson program preparing them ready for their practical driving test

• Complete Group Sessions for Forklift Training with both classroom and practical components

• Complete the required administration and record keeping for students for compliance and to demonstrate lessons completed and competencies achieved

• Manage your day including preparing each day for the lessons and courses booked and complete lessons with good time management

• Conduct vehicle maintenance as required keeping vehicles clean and tidy at all times

About you

• Experience as a Driving Instructor or Forklift Trainer

• MC Licence

• Proficient with road ranger gearboxes

• Certificate IV in training and assessment

• Forklift Training Experience

• Driving instructors qualifications (if not held, the organisation will assist to obtain the appropriate qualification)

• Honest, supportive and reliable, with good integrity and a willingness to learn

• Good attention to detail, well-developed organisational skills and work well with people

• Passionate about teaching others and passing down industry knowledge and skills to students

• Excellent time organisation
