Sales& Design Consultant - Designer Furniture

The company
We are a small, Australian owned designer furniture business that was established in 2013. Known for our unique product collection, we carefully curate a distinct collection of furniture & lighting excluisively from Italy and sell to retail and industry clients through our stores in Sydney and Melbourne. 

We are passionate about design and finding solutions using our expansive product collection to find the right piece for any client that walks into our showroom located on the busy Church Street.

What the role is
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• This is primarily a client facing sales role which is about converting leads from showroom walk-ins, online and phone enquiries into sales in an efficient manner

• Create and nurture relationships with architects & designers to generate more business for the showroom

• Inspire the clients about the products and brands that we carry and guide them in through the design process to offer them the best solution

• Assisting in showroom operations as required to ensure the showroom is kept to the highest standard for both operations and the display

• Conduct in-house consultations with clients as part of our design service

• Processing sales in our online portal system and managing the ordering process from the beginning to the end

• Work to individual and showroom targets

• Adhere to and promote our company culture

What we'd like you to have

• Must have experience with sales in either the same or similar industry

• Excellent negotiation skills

• A great attitude, willingness to learn and can-do approach

• Team player - work with your colleagues to achieve the company goals

• Weekend work is required as this is our busiest time in the showroom

• Adaptable and ability to think quickly on your feet to provide solutions to customers

• Excellent communication skills

• Above average computer skills
