Procurement Specialist

AGRANA Fruit is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement team and help shape the future of our material sourcing.

This is a hybrid role that combines strategic sourcing and supplier management with hands-on procurement and supply planning. You'll work closely with the Head of Procurement and cross-functional teams to identify new suppliers, mitigate supply risk, unlock value and support product development, while ensuring the day-to-day needs of your designated category are effectively managed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing across our direct materials, identifying and qualifying new suppliers, running tenders and building a resilient, diversified supply base.

• Identify and manage supply risks, from single-origin exposure through to lead-time volatility and supplier dependency.

• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and multi-period agreements to protect margin and secure reliable supply.

• Deliver value beyond price through specification optimisation, supplier-led innovation and cost-down initiatives.

• Partner with R&D, Technical and Operations to support new product development and supplier innovation.

• Support day-to-day procurement and supply planning for a designated category, including raising and managing purchase orders.

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure effective supply continuity.

• Monitor inventory coverage and help maintain efficient stock levels without unnecessary working capital.

• Turn spend, supplier and market data into meaningful commercial decisions.

• Develop reporting and insights across savings, inventory coverage and supplier performance.

• Benchmark our pricing, suppliers and procurement processes against the external market.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and help build a more mature, benchmark-led procurement function.

• Strong negotiation and data analysis capability and comfortable living in the numbers and using them to influence

• Someone who is energised by a varied, fast-moving environment where no two days look the same, and who moves fluidly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution
