About the role
O.T.A Logistics Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Local MC Driver to join our growing team based in Forrestfield, WA.
This is a full-time opportunity with a professional transport company committed to safety, reliability, and exceptional customer service. You'll be responsible for completing metro and deliveries and pick-ups throughout the Perth metropolitan area and surrounding regions while representing our company with professionalism and care.
As a Local MC Driver, you will:
Complete local metro and regional deliveries and collections.
Undertake occasional short-distance overnight trips when operational requirements arise.
Safely operate Multi Combination (MC) vehicles.
Conduct daily pre-start, pre-trip, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Ensure loads are restrained and transported safely.
Comply with all road transport legislation, fatigue management requirements, and company policies.
Complete delivery paperwork, pre-start checklists, and safety documentation accurately.
Maintain records of driving hours, vehicle condition, and deliveries.
Provide outstanding customer service at delivery and collection points.
Work closely with our operations team to ensure efficient freight movements.
Carry out minor truck maintenance when required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Current Australian MC Licence.
Minimum 3 years' experience operating MC vehicles.
Excellent driving record.
Strong knowledge of road transport regulations and safe driving practices.
Current Commercial Driver Medical.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to safety, reliability, and on-time performance.
Ability and willingness to complete pre-start inspections, safety documentation, and delivery paperwork.
Ability and willingness to carry out minor truck maintenance.
Australian Citizenship is required for this position.
Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical, including a laboratory Drug & Alcohol screen.
Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence.
