About the Role

As the Room Leader, you will:

• Support the day-to-day leadership of the room alongside the leadership team

• Mentor and guide educators to deliver high-quality educational practices

• Lead curriculum development and reflective practice in line with the EYLF and Montessori philosophy

• Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional team culture

• Build strong relationships with children, families, and educators

• Support compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Regulations, and Child Safe Standards

• Contribute to ongoing service growth, improvement, and quality outcomes

• Help create calm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environments for infants and toddlers

Essential Requirements

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards

• Current Working With Children Check (NSW)

• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates

• Sound understanding of the:

  • Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

  • National Quality Standards (NQS)

  • Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Scheme

  • Education and Care Services National Regulations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
