Room Leader

AMIGA Montessori is opening a brand-new early learning centre in Mount Barker this November, and we are looking for passionate, confident and experienced Room Leaders to join our founding team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new centre from the beginning, helping to establish your room, build a strong team culture and create a warm, engaging and safe environment for children and families.
About the Role As a Room Leader, you will take ownership of the day-to-day leadership of your room and support your team to deliver high-quality education and care.

You will work closely with the Centre Manager, Assistant Centre Manager and Educational Leader to create an environment where children feel safe, supported and inspired to learn.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and mentoring educators within your room
• Creating a positive, collaborative and professional team environment
• Supporting the planning and delivery of high-quality educational programs
• Ensuring children's individual needs, interests and development are reflected within the program
• Maintaining high standards of supervision, child safety and wellbeing
• Building strong relationships with children and families
• Supporting educators to understand and meet regulatory and compliance requirements
• Maintaining a welcoming, organised and engaging learning environment
• Contributing to the development of a strong culture within our brand-new Mount Barker service

About You To be considered for this position, you will need:

• A minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-recognised equivalent qualification
• Previous experience working as a Room Leader within an early childhood service
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and supporting educators
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF, National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards
• A strong understanding of child safety and appropriate educator-child interactions
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence managing the day-to-day responsibilities of a busy room
• A genuine passion for providing high-quality outcomes for children

Experience within a Montessori environment is highly regarded; however, your leadership experience, approach to children and commitment to quality practice are most important.
