Head Teacher Female Students - Cherrybrook Technology High School

Cherrybrook Technology High School (CTHS) has an enrolment of 2103 students, with 74% coming from non-English speaking backgrounds. The school has a highly motivated team of teaching, administrative and support staff, students, and parents, all committed to achieving strong academic outcomes, underpinned by a technologically innovative, supportive environment. Cherrybrook Technology High School values and encourages a broad range of academic, cultural, and sporting pursuits. Extensive extracurricular activities are available for students to excel in sports and cultural activities, and opportunities to participate in leadership initiatives are also offered. An important feature of the school is its wellbeing programs and systems that strive to support each child as they progress through high school.  

Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria: 

1. Expertise in leading evidence-based practices that provide individual support for student attendance, engagement and complex wellbeing needs that improve student outcomes. 

2. Demonstrated ability in leading teams in the implementation and evaluation of whole school student engagement and recognition initiatives, including girls’ leadership opportunities and targeted student programs.

3. Highly developed leadership, communication and collaboration skills, with the capacity to mentor early career teachers, build staff capabilities and establish effective partnerships that enhance student support. 

4. Expertise in working collaboratively as a dynamic member of the executive team, and the whole school staff to implement and lead school initiatives aligned with the School Plan.  

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
