Patient Advocate (Reception team), a vital member of the team plays a key role in ensuring that patients and their families have a positive experience at their family practice.

Key responsibilities

• Working as part of a team with the Practice Manager, ensure provision of exceptional support services to medical providers, nurses and patients

• Access, co-ordinate and manage patient medical records with utmost confidentiality

• Respond to telephone calls, patient triage and booking patient appointments

• Ensure patients feel welcome, offer assistance when required and ensure they feel valued

• Identify, record and process billing and fee payment instructions

• Document scanning, managing communication channels including emails and general administrative tasks

About you

• Prior experience as a Medical Receptionist preferably in a health care facility

• Excellent communication, customer service, organisational and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency and familiarity with medical software and IT systems including Microsoft office/excel
