Specific Selection CriteriaApproval to teach Special Education and/or demonstrated experience supporting students with Autism and diverse learning, communication, sensory, behavioural and wellbeing needs.
Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate differentiated, personalised and data-informed teaching and learning programs using explicit teaching, evidence-based practice and high expectations to improve students' academic, social, communication, emotional and behavioural outcomes.
Demonstrated effective classroom management skills that create safe, inclusive and engaging learning environments, using flexible and adaptive strategies to support the diverse learning, communication, behavioural and wellbeing needs of students with Autism.
Highly developed communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated capacity to build and maintain positive, collaborative partnerships with students, parents/carers, colleagues and external agencies to support student learning, wellbeing, engagement and successful participation in school.
ConditionsAn unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
