About the Role 

You will be joining a small, dedicated team at Aramex Coffs Harbour that are passionate and genuine about putting their customers first, allowing you to truly focus and specialise in supporting the company to grow and reach our next level of success.

We are seeking an experienced Night Freight Sorter/ Depot Hand/ Courier Driver to join our team. Working Monday to Friday evenings, the successful candidate will be involved in the consolidation and sorting of Coffs Harbour destined freight, along with the loading and unloading of our Linehaul vehicles. Daytime operations would see you maintaining the depot, helping Depot/ Courier Franchisees with deliveries, greeting customers and assisting with enquiries, and general office administration support. Initially offered as a Casual position, there is potential for part time/ permanent for the right candidate.

This role will see you adding significant value through (but not limited to):

• Depot operation duties including manual handling up to 25kg.

• Relief for night freight sort

• Assisting Depot/ Courier Franchisees with deliveries

• Answering phones and redirecting calls when required

• Greeting customers and assisting with enquiries

• General office administration assistance

• Possibility of part time/ permanent for the right candidate

Hours of operation are generally between 8.00am to 6pm - Monday to Friday

Night hours generally 8pm to 3am - Monday to Friday

Skills and expertise:

• Physically fit and capable 

• Must be reliable, trustworthy, highly organised and be passionate about achieving results

• Great attitude – willing to roll up the sleeves and take on what's needed to be successful in the role

• Self-motivated - professional able to achieve results working without close management and focused on learning

• High degree of attention to detail

• Willing to learn new procedures when required

• Strong multi-tasking and prioritisation skills

• Customer focused - easily establishes credibility and genuine service commitment

• Ability to work in a team and in a fast-paced environment

• Current Class C (or above) driver's licence and clean driving record essential

• Forklift license with recent experience is required

• Strong knowledge of the local area 

• Team player with great interpersonal communication
