The opportunity

We’re looking for a Lending Associate to join our team.

This isn’t simply an administration role.

It’s an opportunity to learn mortgage broking from the ground up while working alongside experienced brokers and supporting real clients through the lending journey.

You’ll begin by learning the operational foundations of a high-performing mortgage business — how a quality loan file is built, how lenders work, how applications progress, how clients are communicated with and how great service is delivered.

As your knowledge and capability develop, so will the role.

For the right person, our intention is to create a genuine pathway towards becoming a qualified and accredited mortgage broker.

You don’t need previous mortgage broking experience.

We’re much more interested in your attitude, potential and willingness to learn.

What you’ll learn

Working closely with our brokers and Operations Lead, you’ll progressively learn how to:

·      Support clients throughout their lending journey

·      Understand a client’s financial position and lending requirements

·      Prepare and package high-quality loan applications

·      Navigate lender policies, processes and requirements

·      Order and understand property valuations

·      Complete product comparisons and assist with pricing

·      Manage applications from preparation through to settlement

·      Communicate professionally with clients, lenders and other stakeholders

·      Use industry technology including BrokerEngine and Stride

·      Maintain accurate client and compliance records

·      Understand the reasoning behind lending recommendations and loan structures

·      Build the technical, commercial and relationship skills required to become a successful mortgage broker

Initially, there will be plenty of administration and process work. That’s intentional.

We want you to understand how the whole business works, not simply learn how to sell a home loan.

Your career pathway

We see this as an apprenticeship into mortgage broking.

Your development could look something like:

Learn the foundations → master lending operations → develop technical lending knowledge → build client skills → complete industry qualifications → work towards accreditation → progress towards becoming a Mortgage Broker.

We’ll support you in completing your Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking and Diploma, alongside practical, on-the-job development.

There are no shortcuts, and becoming a great broker takes time.

But if you bring the attitude and put in the work, we’ll bring the training, mentoring and opportunity.

Who we’re looking for

You may be a recent graduate, currently working in customer service, administration, banking, property or another professional environment — or simply someone who knows they’re capable of more and wants to build a career.

Your previous job title isn’t particularly important to us.

What matters is how you operate.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 + superannuation
