About the role

VincentCare’s Marian Community provides 24/7 support to victim survivors experiencing or escaping family violence across the Goulburn region, covering the City of Greater Shepparton, Moira and across the Shires of Moira, Strathbogie, Mitchell and Murrindindi.

The program includes delivery of business hours and after-hours service responses, refuge, emergency accommodation, as well as the Flexible Support Program.  Business hours services are provided from office sites in Shepparton (Goulburn North) and Seymour (Goulburn South) with a rotating on-call staff roster weeknights, weekends and public holidays.

Key Selection Criteria

To be considered for this position, you will bring significant leadership and program management experience, together with a demonstrated commitment to high-quality service delivery and other key requirements that include:

• A degree level qualification in the field of social work, family violence or community services sector aligned to the Mandatory minimum qualifications for specialist family violence response roles | vic.gov.au (effective 31 March 2026).

• Significant experience in managing teams and developing, implementing and overseeing service responses for victim survivors experiencing or escaping family violence.
• Highly developed stakeholder engagement and partnership management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across government, community and research sectors.
• Experience in financial management, program planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting, including data analysis and outcomes measurement.
• Demonstrated ability to engage respectfully and effectively with diverse and highly vulnerable communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, advocate, influence and resolve complex issues.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple programs and stakeholders
• A valid Victorian driver’s licence.
