About the role

Lake Boga Marine and Automotive is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis in Lake Boga, VIC 3584. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining both marine and automotive vehicles to the highest standards of quality and safety. This is a strategic position within our service operations, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and the reputation of our business. You will work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are essential to our continued success.

Key responsibilities

• Service and repair boats and marine engines

• Fault finding and preventative maintenance

• New boat fit outs

• Work with quality equipment in a well-equipped workshop

• Respond to customer needs

• Deliver quality workmanship and great customer outcomes

What we're looking for

• A recognised mechanical qualification or apprenticeship in automotive and/or marine mechanics

• Proven experience working as a mechanic in automotive and/or marine servicing environments

• Strong technical knowledge of engine systems

• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and workshop machinery safely and effectively

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work through complex mechanical issues methodically

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently whilst being a supportive team member

• Good communication skills to interact professionally with colleagues and customers

• Current driver's licence is essential

• Experience with both marine and automotive work is highly desirable
