Brett Harvey Designs & Construction (BHD) is seeking a capable Construction Supervisor to support our growing residential pipeline across regional NSW on a contract basis.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Construction & Warranty Manager, this contractor engagement will oversee residential construction projects from site commencement through to completion and handover. You will coordinate trades, suppliers, consultants and clients while maintaining accurate records and ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed programs, budgets, quality standards and WHS requirements.

This role would suit an organised, solutions-focused supervisor with strong residential building experience, sound commercial awareness and the confidence to manage multiple active sites independently.

What You’ll Be Doing

·         Managing assigned residential construction projects from site start through to completion and handover.

·         Coordinating trades, suppliers, consultants, certifiers and materials to meet agreed construction milestones.

·         Maintaining forward construction programs and accurate project records using Framework and BuildPass.

·         Conducting regular site inspections, safety checks, toolbox talks and contractor compliance reviews.

·         Monitoring workmanship, quality, costs, defects, scheduling risks and WHS compliance.

·         Communicating professionally with clients, internal teams and external stakeholders.

·         Supporting practical completion, handover and agreed warranty-related matters for projects delivered during the contract term.

About You

·         Minimum five years’ experience supervising residential project-home construction, including multiple concurrent projects.

·         Relevant trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Construction Management.

·         Current building or supervision licence appropriate to the contracted scope of services.

·         Current Australian driver licence and General Construction Induction Card—White Card.

·         Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, WHS obligations and applicable building legislation.

·         Proven ability to coordinate trades, manage programs, identify defects and resolve site issues efficiently.

·         Strong communication, planning, client-management and stakeholder-engagement skills.

·         Experience using Framework, BuildPass, Microsoft 365 or comparable construction-management systems.

Contractor Requirements

As this is a contractor engagement, you will be required to provide and maintain your own ABN, GST registration, vehicle, fuel, mobile phone, licences and relevant business insurances, including public liability, professional indemnity and workers compensation where applicable.
