About the role
We’re searching for a Part-time attendant to join our acclaimed Shiki Japanese restaurant. As one of Adelaide’s most well-known restaurants – we are looking for a talented server that wants to help us continue in our drive to be the best. Ideally, you will have experience in reputable restaurants and understand that the difference is in the detail.
Day to day you will:
Creating a warm welcome for every single guest – you are the difference between a meal and an experience.
Be knowledgeable in all aspect of the menu, and drive sales through a professional and genuine approach to hospitality.
Prepare and serve drinks to 5-star standard while being an efficient and natural salesperson.
Take ownership in your service delivery and strive to deliver an experience that guests rave about
Proactively learn more, ask questions and challenge yourself to develop your own knowledge and skills.
Work closely with your restaurant and kitchen colleagues to deliver seamless food service in a respectful and professional manner.
Take on ad-hoc duties to keep the service running smoothly.
What we need from you:
The flexibility to work across a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays. Shiki is closed Sunday and Monday every week.
Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification (SA/Nationally Accredited) & Food Safety Certificate
Experience & knowledge - previous experience working in a hotel or restaurant is essential, and knowledge of wine and sake will be valuable – but not essential.
The strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 23 kg, which can also involve bending and kneeling.
The desire to learn and take feedback.
Your strong attention to detail and ownership of your own performance.
Be an Australian permanent resident or hold a valid Australian work visa with at least 6 months remaining at the time of application.
