The Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified prescribing clinician to join our growing telehealth clinic on a flexible contract basis.

This role is ideal for a:

• Nurse Practitioner (with prescribing authority)

• Medical Practitioner

• Pharmacist Prescriber (if applicable under Australian regulations)

You will be responsible for conducting telehealth consultations, assessing patient eligibility, and developing appropriate treatment plans in line with Australian regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct telehealth consultations (primarily video-based initial consults)

• Perform patient assessments including:

• Medical history review

• Eligibility screening

• Risk assessment

• Develop personalised treatment plans

• Submit TGA applications (SAS-B pathway) where required

• Prescribe medications in accordance with Australian law

• Provide follow-up consultations and ongoing patient management

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation

• Ensure all care is delivered in line with AHPRA, TGA, and telehealth guidelines

Patient Journey You Will Be Working Within

The patient journey process:

• Patients complete an eligibility questionnaire via the website

• Eligible patients book a consultation

You will conduct:

• Identity verification

• Eligibility assessment

• Clinical evaluation

If appropriate:

• Develop a treatment plan

• Obtain consent

• Submit TGA approval

• Prescribe treatment

Ongoing care includes:

• Follow-up consultations

• Treatment adjustments

• Continued patient support

What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements:

• Registered Nurse Practitioner (AHPRA) or Medical Practitioner

• Current prescribing authority in Australia

• Experience in telehealth or willingness to work in a digital environment

Strong understanding of:

• Clinical assessment

• Patient safety

• Regulatory compliance

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work independently

Highly Desirable (Not Mandatory)

Experience in:

• Medicinal cannabis prescribing

• Peptide therapy

• Integrative or alternative medicine

Familiarity with:

• SAS-B pathway

• Authorised Prescriber Scheme

Training & Support

If you do not yet have experience in:

• Medicinal cannabis

• Peptide therapies

We are willing to:

• Fund a structured training course

• Support onboarding and upskilling

Training is typically:

• Self-paced

• Completed within approximately 1 week
