• Salary as per the EEEA 2020 + additional over award payment Equivalent to Council EA Bands 3 & 4 for Educators and Assistants. 

To continue to meet community demand for sessional kindergarten programs in Golden Plains Shire we are seeking motivated Educators, Assistants and teachers to join our team and be integral to delivery of high-quality kindergarten programs. Our services have an excellent team culture, with a focus on collaboration and supporting one another. Each service is passionate about meeting the needs of local families through place-based planning and Community support.

These roles will provide you the opportunity to:

• Contribute to the planning, implementation of high quality innovative, culturally responsive and developmentally based programs that reflect children’s needs.
• Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with all colleagues, families, management, other professionals working across the Children's Services department Council teams and the community.
• Be creative, engaging, inclusive with children as well as contributing to daily routines including intentional teaching and spontaneous experiences that meet the needs and interests of each child.  

Our ideal candidates will have:

• Relevant qualification in early childhood education.
• A strong understanding and knowledge of early childhood development and education.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or contribute to and support the planning, implementation and evaluation of a quality early childhood program.
• Well-developed supervisory and time management skills.
• Ability to contribute to the development of a productive team culture.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver a safe and inclusive program where all children including Aboriginal, Children with a disability and Children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds are protected and promoted.
• Willingness to participate in workplace change processes.
• Demonstrated ability to develop a good rapport with parents and children. Awareness of the diverse social and cultural backgrounds of children and families.
• Ability to work flexibly and effectively as part of a team as well as independently and in multiple locations. 

Employment in this role is conditional on:

• Completion of an employment medical
• WWCC or VIT registration
• National Police Clearance
• Current First Aid certification
