Inner City Metals is seeking an experienced Oxy Cutter to assist with cutting down large machinery and equipment that has been transported to our Laverton North yard. This work is part of our ongoing scrap metal processing operations, with full-time ongoing hours and an ASAP start available.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

• Oxy cutting large machinery and industrial components into smaller, transportable sections

• Performing hot works safely within a busy scrap metal yard

• Handling and moving steel (forklift licence highly regarded)

• General labouring duties as required

• Maintaining a clean and safe work area

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Demonstrated experience with oxy cutting / oxy torch operation

• Strong understanding of hot works safety procedures

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Highly Desirable:

• Forklift licence (LF)

• Experience in scrap metal, machinery dismantling, or heavy equipment teardown

• White Card (preferred but not essential)

• Mechanical aptitude or ability to identify metals (bonus)
