Bayswater Primary School (PS) is a Level 5 school located within the North Metropolitan Education Region, approximately 7 kilometres from Perth’s central business district. The school is led by a Principal and two Deputy Principals and is committed to providing high-quality teaching and learning opportunities for all students.
The school has implemented a whole-school Explicit Teaching pedagogical model, which provides a consistent and evidence-based approach to classroom instruction across all year levels. Bayswater PS offers a diverse range of specialist programs, including Italian, Physical Education, Visual Arts, Music, and Science and Technology. The Role
Bayswater PS is seeking a highly professional and motivated upper primary teacher who ideally possesses outstanding interpersonal skills, a strong commitment to excellence in evidence‑based classroom practice, and the capacity to display emerging leadership.
The successful applicant will ideally have a strong understanding of Explicit Teaching and the ability to differentiate instruction to effectively support students with a wide range of abilities, learning needs, and individual circumstances.
The successful applicant will ideally be committed to fostering innovation, promoting high expectations, and placing student achievement and wellbeing at the centre of their practice. They will ideally show excellent organisational, written, and oral communication skills, and work collaboratively and positively as part of a professional team. In addition, they should show a willingness to engage in ongoing professional learning including coaching, collaboration, and peer observation to continually refine and enhance their teaching.
