Experienced Part-Time Receptionist / Client Care Consultant – Mature-Minded Professional Wanted

Pittwater Animal Hospital has served the Northern Beaches community for over 60 years.

Pittwater Animal Hospital is looking for a dedicated and experienced receptionist with excellent customer service skills and a welcoming, professional demeanour. This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy, team-oriented environment and brings a thoughtful, patient approach to client care.

With a loyal, trusting clientele and a supportive internal culture, our team of 8 vets and approximately 20 support staff take great pride in providing gold-standard care to our patients and friendly, honest service to their owners.

Key responsibilities include:

·         Leading the front-of-house experience with confidence and compassion

·         Managing communication across phone, email, and in person

·         Supporting smooth client flow for consultations, procedures, and admissions

·         Triaging cases and keeping clients informed about wait times

·         Maintaining a calm, fear-free experience for patients

·         Assisting with OTC product advice and prescription handovers

·         Scheduling, billing, and reception administration

What we’re looking for:

·         Previous receptionist experience (preferred but not essential)

·         A mature-minded, solution-focused approach

·         Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to connect with people

·         High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

·         Confidence in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

·         A genuine love of animals and a commitment to their welfare
