Tucked in the heart of Sydney's CBD, The Pillars is a private members' club built for Australia's leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs. Across our restaurant, lounge, bar and event spaces, we deliver hospitality that's personal, precise and unmistakably ours — where a genuine connection matters just as much as a perfectly balanced cocktail.

We're looking for a Bartender who gets that. Someone who knows a great drink is only half the story — the rest is in how you make people feel.

You'll bring warmth, polish and real craft to the bar — reading the room, anticipating what a member needs before they ask, and making every visit feel like it was made for them.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 1 year's bartending experience in a restaurant or cocktail bar setting

• Strong working knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits and wine

• A genuine passion for quality product, paired with engaging, natural service

• The ability to keep a clean, efficient station that reflects a luxury setting

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• An instinct for anticipating what members and guests need before they ask

• Professional presentation and punctuality

• Confidence and fluency in RSA procedures

• A team-first mindset that flexes with our varied service standards

A NICE-TO-HAVE

Strong wine knowledge is a genuine bonus here. If you can speak confidently across varietals, regions and food pairing — or hold a wine qualification — you'll stand out from the crowd. Our beverage program sits alongside an equally considered wine list, and we love a bartender who's just as comfortable talking wine as they are shaking a cocktail.
