Neurological Liaison Nurse - Permanent Full Time (Wilson)

About the Role 

As our Neurological Liaison Nurse, you’ll deliver high-quality, person‑centred nursing care to clients living with a range of neurological conditions including MS, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, MND, ABI and Stroke. 

This is a permanent Full-time position for both Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses at various stages of their careers. This is a permanent full time role will be based in our  Wilson Services Centre.

For Enrolled Nurses, we are looking for individuals with a solid foundation of experience (around 3-4 years), with exposure to the disability and/or neurological sector.  

For Registered Nurses, we are open to graduate RN’s as well as those with more developed clinical experience. Any experience in disability and/or neurological sector will be highly valued.   

Some of your key responsibilities will include:  

• Complete holistic nursing assessments and develop individualised care plans 
• Provide direct clinical services (including continence, wound care, palliative support and catheter care – don't worry, we’ll provide training in it all!) 
• Work closely with MSWA’s Allied Health teams to coordinate care 
• Facilitate timely referrals to internal and external health services 
• Travel throughout the community to support clients (pool vehicles available) 

Essential (‘must haves’):

• AHPRA registration as an Enrolled nurse or Registered Nurse 
• Current First Aid and CPR certification 
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain) 
• NDIS Works Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to obtain) 
• Current C Class driver’s licence 
• Working with Children Check 

Desirable ( ‘nice to haves’):

• Previous experience working in NDIS sector
