Assistant Accountant

Rosenbauer Australia Pty Ltd About the role We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented  Assistant Accountant  to join our finance team and provide support across financial accounting, reporting, reconciliations, month-end and year-end processes, compliance and the maintenance of accurate financial records.

Reporting to the  Director of Finance , you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the finance function. Qualification & experience About you You will be a proactive and organized accounting professional who enjoys working across a broad range of finance activities.

You will have strong attention to detail, sound accounting knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization. We are looking for someone who: Completed tertiary qualification in Accounting Has experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting role.

Has strong knowledge of financial accounting, reconciliations and month-end processes. Is confident preparing journals, financial reports and supporting schedules. Has an understanding of BAS, GST and statutory compliance requirements.

Has strong Excel and financial systems skills. Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Can investigate discrepancies, identify issues and find practical solutions.

Is organized, reliable and able to manage competing priorities. Communicates clearly and works effectively as part of a team. Has a continuous improvement mindset and is willing to contribute beyond routine accounting tasks.
