Machinist

JRM Resources is a locally owned, family-focused business delivering high-quality civil and mining

services across the Peel and Southwest regions.

We are currently seeking an experienced Machinist to join our workshop team in Waroona.

This is a hands-on role working with manual lathes, milling machines and other workshop equipment to manufacture, repair and refurbish a wide range of earthmoving machine components. You’ll be

trusted to work independently, interpret engineering drawings, and contribute to the ongoing success of our workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manual lathes to manufacture components to specification.
• Perform general machining using lathes, milling machines, drills, and other workshop equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Measure, inspect and verify tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
• Assist with repairs, maintenance and light fabrication work as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.

About You

• Experience manufacturing and repairing earthmoving equipment components within the civil and mining industries
• Demonstrated experience operating manual lathes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
• Commitment to safe work practices.
• Forklift (LF) Licence is highly regarded.

Requirements:

• Trade qualification in Metal Machining or equivalent.
• Australian C Class Driver’s Licence (minimum).
• Forklift (LF) Licence preferred.
• White Card – CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
