Draftsperson

Silver Yachts Australia is seeking a Draftsperson / Designer to join our team in Bibra Lake.

The Draftsperson is responsible for preparing detailed design, production drawings, cut parts and nesting for CNC as instructed, for interior fit-out manufacturing, ensuring designs are accurate, practical and suitable for manufacture and installation.

You will work closely with our Design and Production teams in a specialised, high-quality manufacturing environment, learning new skills with ability to moving into higher positions and designing roles.

Key Responsibilities

•         Prepare detailed production and manufacturing drawings for cabinetry, joinery and yacht interior fit-out.

•         Produce 2D and 3D drawings and models using Rhino 3D and AutoCAD.

•         Interpret design and technical drawings and develop practical manufacturing details.

•         Assist with design concepts and visual documentation using Photoshop.

•         Work closely with Design and Production teams to resolve technical issues.

•         Review and update drawings to reflect design and production changes.

•         Ensure drawings are accurate and suitable for manufacture and installation.

 About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 •         Strong willingness & ability to learn new skills, processes and programs

•         Experience in technical drafting and the preparation of detailed production drawings.

•         Experience in Rhino 3D (or other 3d designing programmes), AutoCAD and Photoshop.

•         Strong 2D and 3D drafting and modelling skills.

•         High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.

•         Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

•         Ability to work collaboratively with Design and Production teams.

•         Knowledge of CNC manufacturing processes will be highly regarded.
