People & Culture Manager - QLD

An exciting and integral role in managing the outcomes of People & Culture business objectives, working across two of our major QLD sites!

This is a unique opportunity to lead the delivery of strategic and operational Human Resources services across our brand-new, state-of-the-art Torbanlea facility and our established Maryborough Service Delivery Centre.

As a trusted partner to operational leaders, you'll drive people outcomes that support business performance, workforce growth, and employee engagement. You'll lead and develop a People & Culture Business Partner and a People & Culture Advisor, while working closely with the broader People & Culture team to champion best-practice HR initiatives across the business.

From workforce planning and employee relations to shaping culture and implementing people strategies, you'll play a pivotal role in helping build the workforce that will deliver Queensland's next generation of trains.

About You
You are a confident and commercially minded HR professional who thrives in fast-paced operational environments and enjoys influencing positive change. You'll bring:
5+ years' experience with tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related disciplineProven success in an HR leadership or management role, ideally within a blue-collar, manufacturing, industrial or operational environmentStrong expertise interpreting and applying Enterprise Agreements and industrial instrumentsDemonstrated experience managing complex employee relations matters, investigations and performance management processesSound knowledge of contemporary HR practices and employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act, workers' compensation and anti-discrimination legislationExceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate and deliver results across all levels of the businessWhy Join Downer?
